DeSaad is a member of Darkseid’s Elite and a villain in the DC Universe. He is named after the Marquis de Sade, as Darkseid had a vision of him, years into the future.
When a riff in the fabric of the multiverse occurs. A group of villains take the opportunity to attemp Universe (or multiverse, if you will) domination. So now the heroes of these universes unite to stop them.
