After Mothra's sacrifice from 2019, An egg is discovered around her territory. Monarch transports the egg to their facility to analyze it's nature and identify its origin. They are interrupted by Dr. Ilene Chen and Dr. Ling Chen who reveal themselves to be the twin fairies, guardians of Infant Island. They tell them to return the egg to their island or dire consequences would follow regarding the balance of nature.
