This story takes place shortly after the events of "Monster's Rising : Enter a New World." Wilhelmina Harker, although infected by Dracula at the end of the 19th century, continues to fight for the light from within the darkness. One evening, while investigating a Satanic cult, she frees their prisoner, Lawrence Talbot, the most powerful werewolf in the world, unable to return to human form but capable of controlling himself. They're then joined by two creatures who have recently gained worldwide notoriety : Princess Ahmanet, aka the Mummy, and Gill-Man. These two have recently reunited after sensing ominous signs for the future. Together, they free a former monster hunter, now half-mad but still highly skilled, who is being held in an asylum but knows a great deal about demons: Leroy Jackson, aka Spring-Heeled Jack. Upon freeing him, they encounter a deformed human, cursed for centuries, but fighting for good : Quasimodo, aka the Hunchback of Notre Dame. But above all, there's the one who contacted them all telepathically to fight against evil : a very powerful, shape-shifting half-demon who calls himself the Observer. Despite their doubts, they must all work together, because they're the only ones who can stop the demons from bringing total Apocalypse to Earth !
