Zach Nelson is one of the new characters for The Mitchells vs. The Machines: The Series. He is a former Pal Labs intern who was mistreated by Mark and majority of the Pal Labs workers because they did not liked his invention ideas. He was the only other human aside from Katie who did not get captured and placed into a pod during the machine apocalypse as he secretly temporarily worked for PAL after when Mark was placed into a pod until she betrayed him during the final battle. He serves as the main antagonist during the show's first Season where he does many attempts to get revenge on the Mitchells.
