Parker's best friend with a geeky streak and sharp mind, Barry is a smart kid who despite his supportive & witty demeanor, has a very troubled home life with an abusive father and a mother who has become numb to the abuse. This leads to him considering the Cunningham's like the family he's never had, and being willing to do anything to keep them close and be in their lives, especially when it comes to Parker and Julie.
