Daniel Mark Pudi (born March 10, 1979) is an Indian-Polish/American actor. He is best known for his role as Abed Nadir on the NBC sitcom Community (2009–2015), for which he received three nominations for the Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series and one nomination for the TCA Award for Individual Achievement in Comedy. Since 2020 he has starred as Brad Bakshi in the Apple TV+ comedy series Mythic Quest. He played the lead role in The Tiger Hunter, a comedic and warmhearted independent film surrounding the immigrant experience directed by Lena Khan in 2016 and funded through a Kickstarter campaign. His short film, Running, which he wrote himself, follows Pudi as he sets out on a mission to solve the puzzle of his father and finds himself instead on a complex, funny, and vulnerable journey of self-discovery and acceptance.

John Martins, a once acclaimed indie director, has never bounced back from his failed attempt at a franchise that resulted in an infamous critical and financial flop that made him a laughingstock. Desperate to regain success and with only assistant Will at his side John is determined to get back to the top, and in a drug induced stupor writes his best work yet. Gaining a ragtag crew who will do anything to get into the film industry John begins production, back to his indie roots. Once he gets his star however, things take a turn. Pierre Rothwell, a bizarre veteran performer, loves the script but brings with him his own personal stash, one that John has never seen before. As seen as John takes one hit he finds himself on a trip like no other and struggles to contain himself during filming. Once production starts John faces the challenges of on set drama, a script that wasn't as great as he thought it was, brutal secrets, and John's own insecurities. With the possibility of a disaster looming John must confront his failure and finally become the director he was meant to be.
