When Yazid ibn Muawiya demands allegiance from Imam Hussein ibn Ali, Hussein refuses and leaves Medina for Mecca before answering the call of the people of Kufa.
The story follows Muslim ibn Aqil's mission in Kufa, the rise of Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyad, the journey of Imam Hussein and his companions, and the confrontation at Karbala. The film also explores the aftermath of the tragedy, including the imprisonment of Mukhtar al-Thaqafi and the political consequences that reshape the Muslim world.
