Mädchen Amick (born December 12, 1970) is an American actress who rose to prominence in the early 1990s. Her name "Mädchen" means "girl" in German, though she was born in Sparks, Nevada. Her most iconic role came in 1990 when David Lynch cast her as Shelly Johnson in the cult classic series "Twin Peaks."
