From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Harold Joseph Lennix III (born November 16, 1964) is an American actor. He is known for his roles as Terrence "Dresser" Williams in the Robert Townsend film The Five Heartbeats (1991) and as Boyd Langton in the science-fiction series Dollhouse. Lennix co-starred as Harold Cooper, assistant director of the FBI Counterterrorism Division, on the NBC drama The Blacklist. Lennix also played J'onn J'onzz/Calvin Swanwick/Martian Manhunter in the DC Extended Universe films Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Zack Snyder's Justice League. He was nominated for the 2025 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play for his role in Purpose.

Following the destruction of his race, J'onn J'onzz has been in the Still Zone for some time, until he's broken out by accident by a scientist Dr Saul Erdel in the 1960's USA, during a time of conspiarcy theories and UFO mania. The man who brought him here, Saul Erdel passed away on shock of finding an alien in front of him. J'onn wandered for a few days, trying to understand Earth and humans and adopted the identity of a missing police officer. He forms a relationship with a young boy and woman and protects them. During this time he finds out that some of the surviving White Martians are living among the humans and are in pursuit of him along with government authorities like ARGUS to finish off his race. J'onn uses his powers to find the impostors and protect humanity from their prejudice and wrath.
