Sofía Daccarett Char (born April 10, 1993), known professionally as Sofia Carson, is an American actress and singer. Her first appearance on television was as a guest star on the Disney Channel series Austin & Ally. In 2015, she received recognition as Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen, in the Disney musical fantasy film Descendants, and later reprised her role in its sequels. She has since starred in the Netflix romantic drama film Purple Hearts (2022). Carson made her musical debut in 2015 with the soundtrack album for Descendants, and in the same year released the single "Rotten to the Core". In 2016, she signed to Hollywood Records, and released her debut solo single, "Love Is the Name". In 2022, she released her eponymous debut studio album. That same year, she sang the Oscar nominated song "Applause" written by Diane Warren for the film Tell It Like a Woman, which led to a performance at the 95th Academy Awards.

A young mermaid named Ariel has been up to the surface world without her father knowing, but by the time he knows, King Triton forbids her for going up to the surface world and to stay away from the humans and tells her that humans are dangerous. But later, Ariel falls in love with a human prince named Eric and later then, a sea witch named Ursula grants Ariel some human legs and human abilities if she loves Eric or not then she will turn back into a mermaid and she'll be belong to Ursula (who was seeking revenge on King Triton in order to take over the ocean). Later on the Surface world, Ariel must stop Ursula in a disguise and save Eric but by the time she arrived, Ursula kidnaps her and take over the ocean but her plan was foiled by Eric who is saving Ariel from her. Then Ursula grew into a giant and claimed herself as the ruler of the ocean and as she is about to strike Eric down, but Eric uses the wrecked ship to stab her to death. After Ursula is gone for good, Ariel becomes human again and marries Eric and live happily ever after.
