She rose to mainstream prominence for her role as Rocky Blue on the Disney Channel sitcom Shake It Up (2010–2013). In 2013, Zendaya was a contestant on the 16th season of the dance competition series Dancing with the Stars. She produced and starred as the titular spy, K.C. Cooper, in the sitcom K.C. Undercover (2015–2018). "The Life of Mike" is a drama film that follows the life of a older man named Mike. Growing up in a poor neighborhood, Mike is forced to face numerous challenges and hardships in his early life. Despite facing adversity, he remains determined to make something of himself and escapes his troubled upbringing through his love for music. With the help of a talented childhood music teacher, Mike develops his musical abilities and eventually rises to fame as a successful rapper. as his fame grows, he becomes increasingly estranged from those closest to him, including his childhood friends and family. Despite the luxuries that come with success, Mike realizes that fame and fortune cannot fill the void in his life. He begins to struggle with addiction and depression as he tries to come to terms with his past and find a way to reconnect with the people he loves.
