Tingler is a sound imp that resides in the Forest of Burzee who is at first one of Santa Claus's mentors in teaching him many languages of the world, whether it be French, German, Russian, etc. of the human world or zoolingualism with animals other than English, and later becomes one of his helpers living with him in the Laughing Valley of Hohaho. Tingler was an original character created exclusive to the 1985 Rankin/Bass adaptation special, but deserves a little comeback for modern audiences today and fans of Baum's fantasy work.
