Baron Braun is a nobleman in the mortal world who lives in a "frowning castle" with his own children. Like the Lord of Lerd, he did not welcome Santa Claus on his early visits and even threatened to hang him from an iron hook on his castle walls. Years later after his death and his son took over as the next baron, he apologized to Santa for his father's ill treatment of him and asked Santa to bring toys for his own children in return.
