Immediately following the last season, the Great Calamity has begun. Ganon takes over machines the Sheikah were building called Guardians. Zelda, who can't reawaken her sealing power, fails to save the people of Hyrule and the Seven Sages die in battle. She's only able to activate it when Link, who's fighting off the Guardians, is near death and faints. She wipes out a fleet of Guardians and calls upon the Sheikah to bring Link to the Shrine of Resurrection. She is able to hold off Calamity Ganon and seals herself within the beast to contain him. A century later, Link awakens without any of his memories. Tasked by the spirit of King Rhoam, Link travels through the kingdom of Hyrule to get his memories back, regain the Master Sword, and defeat Ganon once and for all.
