The King of Hyrule is the wise king. While he was away in battle, his throne was taken over without consent by Ganondorf and Prince Leofrick. After Ganondorf was defeated by Link (when the Hero of Time thrusted the sword into the evil sorcerer, while in his Ganon transformation) in the end, the King of Hyrule returned to his throne with Leofrick surrendering to his brother. The King of Hyrule announces the marriage of Link and Princess Zelda (as a reward for Link after he saved Hryule from Ganondorf's reign of terror).
