The evil Ganon appears in an attempt to steal the legendary Triforce, an artifact of amazing power. Ganon kidnaps Princess Zelda, who has broken the Triforce into 8 pieces. The only one who can stop Ganon and bring peace to the land is the legendary hero, a young boy by the name of Link.
