Queen La is the ruler and high priestess of Opar, a lost city located deep in the jungles of Africa. She appears in several Tarzan novels and movies as well as Disney's 2001 television series, The Legend of Tarzan.
The story centers on an African elephant calf named Tembo who gets separated from his family and taken by traders to Asia. His only way to get back home is to join the army and become something he's not.
