Jacob Tremblay (born October 5, 2006) is a Canadian actor. He became known for his role as a child born in captivity in Room (2015), for which he won the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Young Performer and became the youngest nominee for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Supporting Role. Tremblay subsequently starred as a child with Treacher Collins syndrome in the drama Wonder (2017) and a naive sixth grader in the comedy Good Boys (2019). He has since taken on voice roles as Damian Wayne / Robin in Harley Quinn (2019), the title character in Luca (2021), and Flounder in the The Little Mermaid (2023). The Land Before Time is a 2025 American musical fantasy film directed (and co-produced) by Jon Favreau and co-produced by Rob Marshall from a screenplay by David Magee. Produced by Illumination and Legendary Entertainment Amblin Entertainment and distributed by Universal Pictures, the film stars the voices of Jacob Tremblay, Ever Anderson, Awkwafina and Alexander Molony with narration provided by David Attenborough. It is a live action remake of the 1988 animated film of the same name. The film features dinosaurs living at the end of the Cretaceous. The plot features a young Alamosaurus named Littlefoot, who ends up alone after his mother is attacked by a vicious carnivore and dies (Tyrannosaurus). Littlefoot flees famine and upheaval to search for the Great Valley, an area spared from devastation, where the adult dinosaurs have moved on to. On his journey, he meets five young companions: Cera, a Triceratops, Ducky, an Edmontosaurus, Petrie, a Tethydraco, Chomper, a Tyrannosaurus rex, and Spike, an Ankylosaurus. The film explores issues of prejudice between the different species and the hardships they endure in their journey as they are guided by the spirit of Littlefoot's mother and forced to deal with a "sharptooth" (Tyrannosaurus). The film was released by Universal on October 17, 2025, to generally positive reviews from critics and was a box office success, grossing $791.7 million.
