The origin of a 660-year old flame, soon revealed. The King of Fighters is the worlds largest martial arts tournament. One of the main spectacles has always been the clash of flames between Kyo Kusanagi & Iori Yagami. One of the participants, who has always looked up to Kyo, is Shingo Yabuki. Training hard, he hopes to someday reach the same heights. One day, during training, he collapses - only to awaken in an landscape that seems completely unfamiliar... One of the biggest mysteries of KoF, the flame itself and its connection to Orochi, is revealed through the eyes of Shingo himself!
