The lone survivor of a Martian civilization. J'onn's people were destroyed by Brainiac years ago. This included his wife and children. J'onn was held captive and studied by Brainiac for many years. After escaping captivity J'onn traveled to Earth to warn them of the coming threat. He now fights with the Justice League to protect Earth from the same fate as Mars.
