Gregory "Thunderballs" Russ is a hotheaded, loud, and impolite army man. He loses his memory early in the film though, and when he does, he becomes a naive, curious man who goes on an emotional journey of self-discovery. He's old and should be played by somebody who has the range to convincingly play those two personality types and make the audience laugh.
