Hypersonic was mentioned at one point in the comics when Violet asked Bob if he knew any Supers that might have sound powers. Bob replied by revealing that he knew a hero named Hypersonic, a male superhero who served during WWII, but had permanently retired shortly after the superhero ban was lifted. Due to the nature of his name, his power may be sound related, which would allow him to generate and manipulate sonic energy and waves.
