Grigori Malenkov was born in the late 1940s in the Soviet Union during the height of the Cold War. He grew up in a state program designed to create “super soldiers” to rival America’s supers. While most candidates failed, Grigori not only survived the experiments but thrived. His body was enhanced with extreme durability, augmented muscle density, and a natural affinity for cold resistance, making him a powerhouse in freezing environments. Grigori’s “Slice” nickname came from his weapon of choice: a pair of massive, high-frequency vibro-axes forged with experimental Soviet alloys that could cut through steel. After the fall of the Soviet Union, Grigori became a mercenary-for-hire, eventually turning full supervillain. His hatred of American icons made him naturally clash with Mr. Incredible, the perfect symbol of “American strength.” Frozone became his other enemy after thwarting one of Grigori’s early smuggling operations in Alaska. He views himself as the last warrior of the Motherland, fighting not just for himself but for the glory of a nation that no longer exists. His villainous motivation is nostalgic vengeance and pride—he wants to prove that the "Motherland" produced the greatest super of all time.
