The Hunt for the Hydra is a 2025 science fiction action film and the fifth installment in the Sea Monsters Universe. Like the first and the fourth installments, it was directed by Lexi Alexander and produced by Zack Snyder, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Gore Verbinski from a screenplay by Alexander and Bruckheimer, and is a direct sequel to The Terrors of the Lusca, being released ten months after that film. The film stars an ensemble cast including Sasha Calle, Ruby Rose, Hailee Steinfeld, Anthony Ramos, Katherine Waterston, Nick Adams, Garrett Hedlund, Michael Shannon, Daniel Kaluuya, Peter Stormare, and Salma Hayek. Its story follows Lucía and Sienna as they must hunt down a six-headed snake for the sake of innocent civilians, as well as their child.
