In medieval Paris, Quasimodo, a deformed bell-ringer hidden away in Notre-Dame Cathedral, experiences the outside world for the first time when the beautiful and compassionate Esmeralda shows him unexpected kindness. As the gypsy dancer becomes the target of the obsessed Judge Frollo's dark desires, Quasimodo finds himself torn between his loyalty to the only home he's known and his desperate need to protect the one person who sees his humanity. When Esmeralda is falsely accused of murder, Quasimodo must choose between remaining safely isolated in his tower or descending into a hostile world to save her from execution. A sweeping tale of prejudice, redemption, and the transformative power of love, this classic explores how true beauty lies not in appearance, but in the courage to fight for what's right.
