Timothy Francis Robbins (born October 16, 1958) is an American actor, screenwriter, director, producer, and musician. He is best known for his portrayal of Andy Dufresne in the prison drama film The Shawshank Redemption (1994).
Born disfigured, the kind but naïve Quasimodo finds solace as the bell ringer in the towers of Notre Dame cathedral. After he befriends a beautiful girl named Esmerelda, he finds himself defending her home and way of life against an evil government plot.
