follows the lonely, deformed bell-ringer Quasimodo, who lives hidden in Notre Dame Cathedral with his gargoyle friends (Victor, Hugo, Laverne) until he ventures out during the Festival of Fools and meets the kind gypsy dancer Esmeralda, leading him to defy his cruel guardian, Judge Frollo, and fight for her and Paris's marginalized people, discovering inner beauty and courage in the process.
