The Human Torch is an android created by Professor Horton. When exposed to air, his body bursts into flames. After escaping due to a mishap, he discovers that everything he touches catches fire. A racketeer named Sardo sees the Torch as valuable and tries to use him for his own gain. However, the Torch fights back, burning down Sardo's house and defeating his men. The police and Professor Horton witness the Torch's abilities and understand his predicament. Realizing he will be exploited, the Torch escapes to find freedom rather than being controlled by others.
