Peter Quill, an intergalactic bounty hunter known as the “Star-Lord”, cuts ties with his corrupt employer, Taneleer Tivan, after a job-gone-wrong. This leads to Tivan sending out a bounty on Quill’s head which attracts the attention of other assassins from around the galaxy. However, when a man claiming to be Quill’s father emerges from the shadows, Peter has no choice but to align himself with the people who are hunting him.
