Being a young 25 year old Captain in the Grand Army of the Republic in 21BBY, Maxim was very useful to the Jedi Purge. So, upon hearing about the reformation of the Jedi Order under Luke Skywalker, Maxim is enraged that the Imperials haven’t destroyed the temple. His forces are secretly making plans to destroy the Jedi once and for all, after he sends a request for aid to Luke Skywalker.
