Despite the Republican Senate giving his fleet strict orders not to heed the call of the Imperials, the former Imperial Officer knows when an Imperial distress signal is legitimate or not. He moves his fleet into position to help the Imperials when the Crimson Dawn assaults his fleet in orbit of Dantooine. The Dawn, not knowing why the Republic was mobilizing a fleet, assumed they were preparing to assault the Crime Syndicate’s ships in the system.
