The Green Arrow

Following the Brainiac crisis, Lex Luthor funds the reconstruction of damaged cities. In Star City, he invites Oliver Queen—heir to Queen Industries—to become a partner in "Star City Renewal," an ambitious project utilizing technology recovered from Brainiac to develop new neighborhoods. Oliver accepts; he is charismatic, accustomed to a life of high-society galas, and genuinely believes he is helping. However, in "the Hollow"—a working-class district slated for redevelopment—residents are being evicted, and people have begun to go missing. Oliver meets Dinah Lance, a local bar singer and fighter, who accuses him of being the "pretty face" behind an act of exploitation. Investigating on his own, Oliver discovers that the project is using Brainiac’s technology without any safeguards, and that the evictions are masking something far more sinister. To continue his investigation without being linked to Queen Industries, he adopts the persona of Green Arrow—a bow-wielding vigilante operating on the very streets his own company is tearing down. Standing in his way is Merlyn, Lex’s head of security for the project and the only archer who can match him. Oliver realizes that his gestures as a wealthy socialite solve nothing; he must risk his fortune, his company, and his family name. Ultimately, he withdraws Queen Industries from the project, forfeits much of his social standing, and commits himself to the cause of the neighborhood. Hal Jordan He appears in episode 6 as a stranger. A Green Lantern, he tracks a signal from Brainiac’s technology to Star City, where he encounters a man firing arrows at Merlyn’s thugs. The two meet, debate their respective methods—ring versus bow, raw power versus honed skill—and work together for a single night. Before departing, Hal warns that the technology’s true origin remains unknown.
