(Titan of the East)
Role added by @alabasteri on August 10, 2026
Hyperion is one of the twelve Titans, a primordial god of light and fire who embodies cosmic power and ancient authority. Standing as a towering, godlike figure, he radiates an otherworldly presence—his appearance suggests both divine majesty and terrifying otherness, with an ethereal quality that marks him as fundamentally different from mortal men. As an antagonist, Hyperion represents the old order that must be challenged; he is not evil in a conventional sense, but rather an immovable force of nature resistant to change. His conflict with the Olympian gods drives much of the epic's tension, as he refuses to yield his dominion over light and the heavens. Hyperion possesses a commanding intellect matched by absolute conviction in his right to rule, making him a formidable opponent who cannot be reasoned with through appeals to mercy or morality—only through superior power.
