Jules and Amadeus hear of an ambush from the 93rd Mobian Infantry gone wrong, with the men either killed or captured for roboticization. Jules and Amadeus were worried and scared for Charles, so they decided to take it up to Ram, who said that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. (In his words, it was “Win the war. Save the prisoners later.” Jules wouldn’t let his brother die, so he decides to go AWOL and save him. Aleena decides to go with him, and Amadeus & Rosemary & Longclaw & the two chipmunks overheard, saying they’re going too. And thus, the first team of Freedom Fighters was formed. They fly a plane to Robotnik’s base where the ambush was supposed to be and broke in. They found Charles and was about to get roboticized when Jules and the others saved him and 300 other soldiers, including Arnold Rose. Then that’s when they meet Robotnik for the first time. He got away, but his base was destroyed. Then they come back to the camp heroes, proving Ram to be wrong.
