When he was a kid, he got bullied by the bigger kids because of the usual stuff. But then Jules stepped in and helped him, and they've been best friends ever since. When they joined the Great War, Amadeus had faith in his friend that they can win, and he's proud of the leader Jules is becoming. But near the end of the film, Amadeus loses an eye due to an explosion (not graphic). Jules felt guilty for it, but Amadeus comforted him, saying it wasn't his fault. In the future, Amadeus will become the father of a certain two-tailed fox.
