Ep 1: "The Town with No Name": Introduces the Goon and Franky clearing out a zombie infestation at Norton’s Pub. Establishes the "Labrazio" myth.
Ep 2: "The Dead Past": Flashback episode. We see the Goon’s childhood in the circus and the death of Aunt Kizzie, explaining his hatred for the supernatural.
Ep 3: "Fishy Business": Introduction of the "Fishmen" and the wider world of Dark Horse monsters, potentially hinting at the Abe Sapien or B.P.R.D. connection.
Ep 4-7: "The Vulture’s Shadow": A serialized arc where the Zombie Priest begins his primary assault. The Goon must team up with Buzzard.
Ep 8-9: "The Labrazio Secret": The Goon’s lie about working for Labrazio is threatened. Character development focuses on the burden of leadership and the cost of maintaining a fearsome reputation.
Ep 10: "Hell to Pay": A massive showdown at the cemetery. The season ends with an Epilogue showing a red-skinned hand (Hellboy) picking up a discarded cigar at the scene of the battle, officially linking the animated "Volume" to the live-action DHCU.
