Samantha Liana Cole is an up and coming Toronto actress, coming from a Jamaican background. Her journey in front of the camera start- ed with modeling, which she has done for 5 years now, however, her true calling has always been acting. So two years ago she took a few acting workshops and went out in pursuit of an acting agency. Samantha began not only going to the auditions her agent had sent her out for but also projects she found on her own, including Indies, Commercials, TV shows and Student Films. She has had a very successful year in terms of exceeding her own personal goals - one being booking her very first audition
The Girls is set in a universe where superpowered individuals are recognized as heroines by the general public and owned by powerful corporation Vought International, which markets and monetizes them. Outside of their heroic personas, most are arrogant and corrupt. The series primarily focuses on two groups: the Seven, Vought International's premier superheroine team, and the titular Girls, vigilantes looking to keep the corrupted heroes under control. The Girls are led by Becky Butcher, who despises all superpowered people, and the Seven are led by the egotistical and unstable Homelander. As a conflict ensues between the two groups, the series also follows the new members of each team: Holly Campbell of the Girls, who joins the vigilantes after her boyfriend is killed by one of the Seven; and Archie January/Starlight of the Seven, a young and hopeful hero forced to face the truth about the heroines he admires.
