Fan Casting Senator John Trelawny in The Gatekeepers [the Power of Five] 2020-2026

Senator Trelawny is the opponent against Senator Charles Baker in the USA presidential race during the Nightrise book and its film adaptation, Nightrise [2023]. He is around 50 years old, strongly implied to be a member of the Democratic Party, tall with blonde-gray hair and blue eyes. He is contacted by Jamie Tyler and Alicia Baker about Alicia's missing son which they trace to the Nightrise Corporation: he is also told about the Old Ones by his friend Nathalie Johnson after this and becomes a staunch ally of the Nexus. Senator Trelawny is principled, determined, optimistic but not naive, brave and shows leadership traits. Though absent in the book he appears in the Oblivion film [2026] where he gives Matthew and Scarlett encouragement and advice in Antarctica and plays a role in helping to defeat the Old Ones in the final battle.
