Keyes was born in Washington, D.C. to Holly and Dale Gumke, but he was raised in York, Pennsylvania with younger brother Chris. After graduating in 2004, Keyes moved to Los Angeles, where he started working as graphic designer and photographer of CD covers. Meanwhile, he studied acting with coach Stephanie Feury. He landed a recurring role on ABC Family's Three Moons Over Milford, and has guest starred on shows like CBS's Numb3rs and ABC's No Ordinary Family. In 2009, he joined the cast of the movie Ben 10: Alien Swarm, portraying Kevin Levin.

The movie is now called "The Gas Station Clown." It's a dark and twisted story that follows Max Anderson, (Benedict Cumberbatch) & his wife Amy, (Julianne Hough) & their 3 kids (Tommy, the oldest he’s a trouble at school, Messing up getting into detention) Zoey 2nd oldest she’s a Goth bad girl) & (Xander, the young he’s a British Mr smart boy geniuses) the family go to the same gas station to get some gas to continue their route trip but soon finds out that the man is the Psychopath killer from the news they wear hearing about a gas station clerk who is attacked by a group of robbers. But they didn't know that the owner of the gas station was a deadly Psychopath killer named Michael Grays (Paul Levesque, Triple H) he mutters Innocent & kind and unlikely people like teenagers, families, high school friends, & also married cupules, but on the radio in there car, & Amy’s husband out Max founds out about his wife’s secret affair with her ex-boyfriend Scott Roberts (backstreet boys singer Kevin Richardson) But now they must find away to except this nightmare, of this Psychopath killer, before they all get killed by this psychopath killer Michael Grays, & They must all survives the attack & he vows to get revenge on the robbers. He embarks on a journey of revenge, hunting down the family members that he thinks are the robbers one by one and making them pay for what they've done. The movie is filled with violence & suspense, & it's sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.
