Zachary Edward Snyder (born March 1, 1966) is an American filmmaker. He made his feature film debut in 2004 with Dawn of the Dead, a remake of the 1978 horror film of the same name. Since then, he has directed or produced a number of comic book and superhero films, including 300 (2006) and Watchmen (2009), as well as the Superman film that started the DC Extended Universe, Man of Steel (2013), and its follow-ups, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) and Justice League (2017), the latter of which had a director's cut released in 2021. He also directed the animated film Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (2010), the psychological action film Sucker Punch (2011), the zombie heist film Army of the Dead (2021), and the two-part space opera films Rebel Moon (2023) and Rebel Moon—Part Two: The Scargiver (2024). In 2004, he founded the production company The Stone Quarry (formerly known as Cruel and Unusual Films) alongside his wife Deborah Snyder and producing partner Wesley Coller. The film opens with the defenders of the multiverse - Batman, Flash, Kid Flash, 1989 Batman, Superman, Kingdom Come Superman and Batfleck - trying to come up with a new plan to defeat Reverse Flash and put things right. They receive an unexpected call for help from the Watcher, who informs them that he knows of a portal that could take them to other universes to get the help they need The heroes embark on a dangerous journey through the portal, encountering allies, enemies, and obstacles along the way. They eventually find themselves in a vast, deserted wasteland where they discover formidable new allies, including characters like Spiderman, Wonder Woman, and Green Lantern. After some deliberation, the group comes up with a daring plan to rescue the universe from the clutches of Reverse Flash. They split into teams, with Superman leading one group in a direct attack on Reverse Flash, while Batman and the others work to destroy the artifact that is giving the villain his power However, as chaos ensues, Flash realizes that the only way to stop Reverse Flash and save the universe is to make a supreme sacrifice. Despite the danger, he charges into battle, knowing that this could be his final act of heroism. In a showdown, the heroes combine forces to fight Reverse Flash, while Flash confronts him one-on-one. In a breathtaking display of power and determination, Flash uses all of his speed to take down Reverse Flash and disintegrate the artifact.
