Meanwhile Barry Allen the forensic scientist for the CCPD is talking with officer Eddie Thawne and Thawne's partner Donald Drake until they are informed of the Flash killing people at the bank. Eddie and Donald get there to find Henry opening a portal to the end of time so that he can send his old boss through the portal. Just then Barry Allen aka the Flash arrives and tries to stop Henry but during the altercation Barry is sent 30 years into the past to the year 1993 where he can't use his speed since it's before he got connected to the Speed Force. Barry realizes that he might be able to recreate the cosmic treadmill and get home with the right materials so he goes to find the only person he knows is rich enough to get those materials in 1993, Ted Kord aka the Blue Beetle. Barry tells Ted that he knows Ted is the Blue Beetle which convinces Ted that Barry is from the future and together they build the new cosmic treadmill. Once back in the present Barry and Henry have a final battle where Henry tries sending Barry to the end of time but Barry dodges the time portal and pushes Henry in.
