After a lightning-charged particle accelerator explosion, forensic scientist Barry Allen gains incredible super-speed and becomes The Flash, protector of Central City. As he learns to control his powers, Barry investigates his mother’s mysterious murder only to uncover that the killer is Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash, a man from the future obsessed with destroying him.
