Andrew James Matfin Bell (born March 14, 1986) is an English actor. He rose to prominence for his debut role in Billy Elliot (2000), for which he won the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role, becoming one of the youngest winners of the award. He is also known for his leading roles as Tintin in The Adventures of Tintin (2011) and as Ben Grimm/Thing in Fantastic Four (2015). Other notable performances include in the films King Kong (2005), Jumper (2008), Snowpiercer (2013), Rocketman (2019), and All of Us Strangers (2023). He earned a second BAFTA Award nomination for his leading performance in Film Stars Don't Die in Liverpool (2017). In television, Bell starred as Abraham Woodhull in the AMC historical drama series Turn: Washington's Spies (2014–2017). After Barry Allen's trip to star city where he helped the green arrow take down Count Vertigo he returned home to be struck by lightning and thrown into a shelf of chemicals at his crime lab and when he woke up, he found himself with superhuman speed and went to star labs for further testing with help from the staff Ronnie Raymond who himself alongside Professor martin stein are known as the superhero firestorm and Hartley Rathaway who is genius in sonic frequency's. Barry decides to help people with these powers inspired by a golden age superhero he loved as a child and with that hero's permission and some strong advice from Oliver Queen he became THE FLASH and took down villainous Captain Cold.
