When a young man by the name of Barry Allen is hit by a powerful bolt of lightning, he acquires the power of super speed and transforms into his superhero alter ego, "The Flash." Barry is soon forced to put his new abilities to the test when an unwanted guest "Captain Cold" comes to town.
