About 4 years prior Ivan and his brother Liam were spoken to in a dream by Surtur to resurrect him. Now Ivan is trying to steal the map from a treasure hunter named Silas Hunter. Once they get there Silas goes in to fight them while Carter and Jacob try to steal the crown. Eventually Ivan puts the crown in the flame but Silas gets it out causing not Ragnarok but a large earthquake destroying the city and killing Silas, Jacob, and Ivan. Carter and Ava see this and escape the cave while Liam vows revenge. Once they get out of the cage Liam shoots Carter in the head and runs away. Ava goes to check on Carter but he's fine.
