The Fifth Season (2015) is a science fiction/fantasy novel by the author N.K. Jemisin. It is the first novel in the Broken Earth series, and won a Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2016. It was followed by the novels The Obelisk Gate in 2017, and The Stone Sky in 2017.
