When Fitz first sees him in AA, Regal has scented, smoothed brown hair, a beardless face, and wears scarlet and primrose with an extravagant cloak and a cream doublet heavy with lace. A gold leaping stag brooch with a green gem secures his scarf. In RA, Regal’s hair is black, and when riding, he wears glossy black boots, gloves, scarlet and gold, and a riding cloak flung back from one shoulder.
