While preparing for the birth of Reed and Sue's first child, the Fantastic Four are warned by Norrin Radd / The Silver Surfer that Earth has been "marked for death" and will be used to feed a cosmic entity known as Galactus. They must come together and work to stop Galactus from devouring the planet.
