Seeing a possible scientific breakthrough that can change the world, young genius Reed Richards embarks on a space flight along with his girlfriend Sue, her brother Johnny, Reed's childhood friend Ben, as well as his college rival Victor, to investigate an anomaly detected outside Earth's orbit. The mission goes wrong, and they land back on Earth with newly gained abilities that will forever change the world.
