Reed Richards and Sue Storm prepare for the future—Sue determined to remain active despite her pregnancy. Their fragile peace is shattered when the Silver Surfer arrives on Earth, triggering global panic as a warning of an approaching force beyond human comprehension. As panic spreads, Sue goes into labour, giving birth to a son even as the threat of extinction looms, forcing Reed to confront the terrifying possibility of saving the world while risking his family. The Surfer reveals Galactus, a world-consuming entity drawn to Earth. Reed is forced into an uneasy alliance with Victor Von Doom, whose intellect may be humanity’s only hope. The Fantastic Four and Doom confront Galactus on the Moon in a final stand. Though Earth is saved, the victory comes at a devastating cost: Reed and Doom escape back to Earth, while Sue, Johnny, and Ben are left stranded on the Moon. The film ends with Reed forced to raise his newborn son alone, haunted by the knowledge that saving the world cost him his family.
